3 good reasons

for your digitization task

1

1. Time saving

The database-based case file in INTERVENT enables significant time savings compared to analog case management. The fast and precise data capture allows employees to spend more time directly addressing the needs of those affected, rather than being occupied with time-consuming administrative tasks.

2. Consistency

Compared to manual statistical data transfer and merging of multiple sources, INTERVENT significantly reduces error susceptibility. The software minimizes the risk of transmission errors, incomplete records, or incorrect information. The precise capture and storage of data ensure a reliable and consistent database. This is crucial for the reliability of reports and statistics that provide an accurate insight into the work of your organization.

3. Timeliness

INTERVENT enables the creation of daily updated statistics, which is particularly important for tracking current trends and developments. The ability to access current data at any time allows for quick adjustment of strategies and measures. This is especially relevant in dynamic work environments where quick decisions need to be made. The integrated reporting module allows for effortless creation of annual reports as well as spontaneous analyses at any desired time.

The widespread use of INTERVENT not only enables a more efficient way of working, but also, through the extensive standardization of capture masks, ensures nationwide comparability of all data.

Therefore, intervention!

FAQ - questions and answers

on security, usability, costs and requirements

Who has access to my case files?

There are 3 roles with the following rights:

  1. Advising the institution (role 1)
    1. may completely view, edit and delete all case files in their own institution
    2. is allowed to create anonymous statistics for its own institution
  2. Administration of the facility (role 2)
    1. no access to case files
    2. is allowed to create anonymous statistics for its own institution
    3. may create, change and delete advisory access (role 1) for their own institution
  3. Coordination office (role 3)
    1. no access to case files
    2. may create anonymous statistics of all women's shelters in their own federal state using INTERVENT
    3. no rights to create new consulting, administration or coordination accesses

All roles of a specific country instance of INTERVENT are part of a common workspace and differ by their permissions.

Who assigns the role rights?

Role rights can only be assigned or changed in the administrative backend by authorized persons from the software provider.

An AV contract regulates the group of people and the authorizations of the software provider for assigning role rights.

Where is the data stored?

The personal data is stored encrypted in a database. The database server is located in a large German data center, which is certified according to ISO27001 and meets the highest security standards. Backups of the encrypted database are stored on a server in Frankfurt. No data is stored on your local system.

Ist INTERVENT GDPR compliant

INTERVENT enables GDPR-compliant work. We follow the recommendations of the BSI standards. Our company is controlled by external data protection officers (DPOs) and information security officers (ISBs). Internally, we already work according to the standards of ISO 27001 and live IT baseline protection. Experienced experts, who we can provide upon request, ensure safe operation within the facilities. All new and further developments implement the current state of the art.

Is Intervent user-friendly and barrier-free?

The modern user interface is easy to understand and largely eliminates possible incorrect entries. Pop-up boxes with help texts provide additional information in some places when touched with the mouse. The usability of the program has been tested for many years and is confirmed by users. During development, attention was paid to maximum accessibility.

Is it possible to switch to INTERVENT?

In principle, we adapt INTERVENT to the content needs of the facilities. If existing data is already available in a structured data format, we can assign it to the appropriate INTERVENT data fields at the database level and import it for you based on effort calculation.

We also have an outpatient counseling center.

If you run an outpatient counseling center at the same time in your women's shelter, it is possible to work together on case files. The advice center can also use its own click counter, which is activated separately for this purpose, to collect statistically relevant data, which can be evaluated separately and anonymously by a higher-level coordination office.

What are secure passwords?

Always generate individual passwords with a random generator. A secure password consists of at least 12-16 characters and includes uppercase/lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Some basic rules can be found in the PDF fact sheet from the BSI. The BSI also recommends the Using a password manager.

What does INTERVENT cost?

Operating a cloud-based software with sensitive data requires appropriate infrastructure from the provider. The costs for personnel, technology, data protection, support, updates, and management are proportionally distributed to all users and calculated at a low monthly price per user. A one-time setup fee is charged for the initial setup of district names and access data. Special requests, extensions, or changes are calculated separately at the current daily rate.

We are happy to provide you with exact prices upon request via email to fragen@intervent-statistiksoftware.de or by phone at 0391-5495939.

Why is it safer to store case files in the cloud?

In general, one's own infrastructure typically has a significantly lower security level than professionally maintained server farms of cloud service providers. Particularly in Germany, strict data protection rules apply. Countless employees are dedicated full-time to the development of defense mechanisms and data security. In a counseling center, thefts of printed case files from unlocked shelf folders would be significantly easier and more consequential. Often, there is no personnel at all in counseling centers responsible for internal security.

Which Windows version is required?

INTERVENT operates browser-based and is independent of the operating system and its version. For security reasons, an up-to-date operating system and a well-secured browser are always recommended.

Is internet required?

Yes. However, a connection with average speed (e.g. DSL, LTE) is sufficient.

Can case files be transferred to other institutions?

The Violence Assistance Act (GewHG) Provides for the possibility that case files and information from persons affected by violence can be transferred between institutions in order to ensure continuous care.

In the future, ownership of case files can be transferred from one institution to another institution of the same type within a federal state.

For the transfer to INTERVENT versions of other federal states, an export of structured data is planned. Individual requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) must be met. and des Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the database structure of the target institution must be taken into account.

If personal data is to be transferred, the verifiable consent of the person concerned must be obtained beforehand.

The structured data can then be encrypted and transmitted to other facilities via a secure transmission path.

Are individual statistics possible?

The selection of the statistics tables to be output is firmly integrated in INTERVENT for each role according to the specifications of the contracting authority. The scope of the output anonymous data varies depending on the role, so that each role only transmits the data actually needed. Roles cannot set or change the content of their statistics themselves. For counseling access, there is the possibility to obtain individual case totals by combining filters.

How and where are statistics generated?

Statistics are generated in the front end of the client computer. For this purpose, only anonymous data without personal information is transmitted from the server via an SSL-encrypted connection to the front end and decrypted there with the cross-role key. The scope of data differs per role and is limited to the absolute minimum for coordination offices.

Which virus protection software is recommended?

Choosing appropriate antivirus protection depends on specific needs and preferences. If necessary, the carrier specifies protection software.

AI research (as of May 2025) makes the following recommendations:

  • For comprehensive protection: G DATA Internet Security or Bitdefender Internet Security are excellent choices.

  • For additional features: Avira Prime and McAfee Total Protection In addition to basic protection, they offer useful extras.

  • For free basic protection: Bitdefender Antivirus Free is one of the best free options.
